Essex County Council undertakes enforcement of bus lanes and issues Penalty Charge Notices (PCN's) to those vehicle owners who contravene the restriction. Representations can be made to Essex County Council challenging these PC N's, the main purpose of this
role is to assess these representations and create relevant responses to be sent back to 1the vehicle owner based upon decisions made following evaluation of the representation.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE;
A-level or equivalent qualification
Practical experience of IT systems
Knowledge of relevant local government procedures
Good Communication and inter-personal skills
Good general IT skills
YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
To review the representations that are received by Essex County Council from the vehicle owners who have been issued a Penalty Charge Notice. Making decisions whether to uphold these representations and creating responses addressing all of the points raised.
As required to undertake the review of CCTV footage of vehicles that contravene bus lane restrictions and make a decision based upon current policy to issue a Penalty Charge Notice
