This is an exciting contract opportunity to join our highway asset management team in Chelmsford. Reporting directly to the Asset Data Team Leader, you would be responsible for providing data and intelligence expertise to support the management of Highway Assets supporting the wider team and business with relevant analysis of data and information. You would work closely with all service teams, stakeholders and business partners both internally and externally, with a specific focus on the data elements of Highway Asset Management Systems, ensuring they fulfil the objectives of the client.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE;
o Experience and an understanding of the Confirm system (or similar)
o Practical application of handling data and data management protocols
o Understanding of Asset Management Principles
o Knowledge of Highway Legislation, relevant design procedures and standards and good practice (beneficial)
o Manages own performance and seeks feedback to improve where identified
o Prioritise the needs of the group / organisation ahead of your own
YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
o Analysing data from Asset Management systems in order to ensure systems are being used correctly, and also to provide necessary information to develop and support investment strategies
o Providing expertise to assist with the updating of asset inventory information, ensuring data is appropriately stored.
o Maintaining data inputting standards and proactively monitor that all parties understand the importance of accurate data
o Providing accurate advice to Councillors, Parish Councils and the general public on all highway-related matters as required
o Participating in forums, aiming to raise awareness of statistical data and information needs and use of information
o Assist with the use of systems and data for collating and reporting relevant performance and management information
